Race through the awake sections and play cautiously through the nightmares if you don’t want to have to start again.Īll of the achievements are technically missable, you can go through the game and get to an "ending" - technically the scenario above happening and you having to restart is the worst ending, so make sure you take a look at the guide below to see what is required. You can make a few mistakes, but can’t really afford to have to restart a section. If it isn’t enough, you will need to start a new game. If you continue, you start the last section with whatever you have left. Not right away, but the next time you exit the house to go outside. This is a timer of sorts, if/when that nerve disappears, your game will end. Once you have the giant monster/girl behind the house, you will see what looks like an electricity bolt, but is actually a nerve, at the top of the screen. Once you go back to the house, another nightmare section will begin. Finding the girl gets harder later on as there are ghouls to avoid. If you are going for the bad ending, just re-enter the house. You will be in the woods, and if you want the good ending you need to find the girl in the woods, get a fragment of reality from her and go back to the house. Make your way through, activate the clock, and a door will open through which you will exit the house. These parts basically progress the story - there isn’t much to do and you can’t die. Lights will turn off, try and focus on keeping as much of the house lit as possible until your nightmare ends.ĭuring the awake sections, you will be in your house. If you get found too many times you will start the nightmare again. This is sped up if you activate clocks you have “remembered”, but goes backwards if you get caught by a ghost.
If you see and are being chased by a ghost or see handprints in the room you are in, hide to avoid getting got! You need to get the clock in the left hand corner all white to end the nightmare. You need to explore the house as much as you can, turning on lights (hold when in a room), opening doors (hold next to doors), and spend time in lit rooms to “remember” places to hide from your pursuers (when your guy’s eyes are closed, wait and he will remember things you can hide behind). During the nightmare sections, lightning strikes will create breaches and let out all sorts of ghosts and ghouls into your house. There are two phases to the game, “awake” (house on the map) and “nightmare” (eye on the map). I will explain briefly how the game works, as going in blind will take you a little while to figure it all out.
Is it a little girl who wants shelter or a monster who wants to eat your innards? The night seems to last forever, with constant nightmares and trips into the woods to try and figure out who is at the door. You are a lodger, living alone in a creepy old house in the woods, when you hear a knock at the door in the middle of the night.
The game is 2.5D, and has puzzle elements to it, lovely visuals and creepy atmospheric audio. Knock-Knock is a survival horror game, but it is not what you are probably thinking.
